Junior Strikers Football academy have so far raised 3,000 Euros for local charities The Paul Cunningham Nurses (1,800 Euros), The Butterfly Children (600 Euros) and local downs syndrome champion swimmer Adam Stewart (600 Euros)
Junior Strikers yearly adult and children's charity football matches have become events that both the ex pat and Spanish communities look forward to. The last event took place in July 2011 at the Estadio Ikomar in Pilar de la Horadada, a fantastic 1,200 Euros was raised and split between the Butterfly Children charity and local downs syndrome Swimmer Adam Stewart.
Our hard work and determination to raise substantial amounts of money for worth while charities has all come together now that we have the backing of local businesses. We have now managed to secure a permanent sponsor for our yearly event, Pilar de la Horadada based company Costamed Consulting have joined forces with us in order to help raise funds and awareness for all future chosen charities.
