Hi, I'm Junior and I began Junior Strikers in 2007. I am an ex Semi-Professional footballer and qualified coach. I have a real passion for the game and this, combined with my extensive Knowledge and understanding of football has led to the rapid growth of the academy. I started playing league football at the age of eight, Playing for local boys clubs in London before moving on to a well known and organised football club in the Middlesex league. By the age of fifteen I progressed to semi professional level going right through the ranks from youth to reserves before moving onto the first team where a bad injury eventually stopped me from taking my career any further. I then went on to complete my coaching badges and quickly put into practice my new qualifications. I did lots of voluntary work which included planning and implementing football sessions for underprivileged teenagers and working on various after school clubs introducing young children to football. I have also coached and managed an under 10's centre of excellence football team in the UK, this is what gave me the inspiration and desire to want to set up my very own football academy. Since moving to Spain and realising my goal, I have also gone on to organise Charity football Matches. My England Vs Spain games for the past three years have been brilliant charity events, we have so far raised 3,000 euros for local charities The Paul Cunningham Nurses, The Butterfly Children and local downs syndrome swimming champion Adam Stewart. I have also been nominated for the Pride of Spain Award and got to the final three in my category. I was nominated for this event for my outstanding contribution and work for the local community. My aim is to put back in what I have learnt throughout the years. Junior Strikers helps youngsters to progress both physically and mentally inside and outside of football.
I look forward to meeting you at our next coaching session. Click here for details.
